INSTRUCTIONS
Instructions --- 1. Showtime! The dog enters the Pawformance Zone. The Pawformance Zone is designed to match the dichromatic vision of dogs. Unlike human color perception, dogs see a spectrum similar to red-green color blindness.
 2. Allow plenty of time for sniffing.

Did you know a dog’s sense of smell is up to 10,000 times stronger than ours? When dogs scratch at the ground, they leave their unique scent behind through sweat glands located between their toes. So give your dog time to explore the olfactory signals left behind by previous visitors.
 3. Observe your dog’s pawformance. Do the different smells and textures inspire your dog to dig, roll around, or explore the materials? Or do they simply choose to lie down and relax?
Whatever form their interaction takes, the dog becomes a co-author of this artwork in that very moment.
 4. Document the pawformance using your phone camera.

Each pawformance leaves a new visual impression on the Pawformance Zone. Take a photo from directly above—hold your phone 90 degrees over the area. Please send this photo along with the dog’s name to me.
